Tales of Life and Land
I have a small series of works, The Hunters, coming up in a group exhibition at Pack Gallery in Byron Bay. My work is often concerned with the point whereby the domesticated and civilised meets with the wild and instinctual, and how these opposing natures interact, thwart and inform each-other. Mythologist and writer, Joseph Campbell, suggests that the composite beings of legend and mythology are our means of navigating our innate love-hate relationship with our animal selve
