Malay Stray VI

Very chuffed that my painting Malay Stray VI has been selected as a finalist in The Ravenswood Australian Women's Art Prize 2018.

The theme this year is Resilience and it is hard to imagine a critter more resilient than these little beings.

The series that this painting comes from is really an ode to their resilience, giving these creatures, who eek out their existence on the fringes of human society, centre stage just this once.
